I decided that as I had the extended warranty I would wait till near the end before getting it serviced. I wont go into how appalling it was trying to have it done. Does not play some file types , unreliable playback of subtitle (.srt) files . Grinding noise on bluray discs in its later years. Unable to be repaired when only 3 years old, wont play video from sd cards. After searching and searching for a decent sound system (under $1000) for our spare room, I settled on this system. It uses plugs for the speakers and a proprietary wireless card. I had an issue with mine and couldn't replace the unit with the same, got a Sams... Unlike you, I didn't complain directly to Panasonic. Luckily I purchased it with extended 4 years warranty. It's about to expire this Oct 2012 so I'd better get on to them.
I got this on a super special for only $499! After 12 months, unit would not play blu-rays. Disc assembly was replaced under warranty. One expects things to last not break down every 12 months or so. However, the warranty service was great, with unit repaired within 7 days. Now i have to pay for repair if i want unit to be usable.

Although in its later years, i did start to get some scratching noise in the speakers at higher volumes if there was a lot of bass. I connected to my router using an ethernet cable and had little trouble setting it up. Well featured, easy network connection , wireless speakers, good sound.
No more worries about troublesome settings and you can easily enjoy to listen music. I had the same problem with Panasonic SCBT105. It had the best sound quality but it also died when I was playing my iPod. This happened twice so I had it services twice by Definitech as per instruct... Normally I dont buy Panasonic but got a good deal when I bought this system about three years ago. After about 2 years, the unit started making a grinding noise when I tried to play Bluray discs.

After some internet searching i found the fault was quite major. It was out of warranty so i took it to a authorized repaired ....Panasonic, i was informed, no longer make the part required....a DX board. After the worst service i have every received from a company Panasonic offered to... Bluetooth pairing is done by simply passing the smartphone over the main unit.
